#ACEATruckTalks is a new webinar series aiming to simplify the discourse on heavy-duty vehicles.
The first webinar focused on the electrification of heavy-duty vehicles in Europe and the associated challenges. We had high-level speakers sharing their experiences with us, such as Alexander Jensen (Sustainability Manager for Roads, DSV Global Transport and Logisitics), Andre Kranke (Head of Corporate R&D, DACHSER SE) and Michael Scheib (Head of Product Management, Daimler Truck).
Covering everything from Dachser’s transition to zero-emission vehicles, DSV’s sustainability goals and investments into battery-electric trucks, and Daimler Truck complementing with the manufacturer’s perspective, these actors bring to the fore their collective aim to accelerate the decarbonisation of heavy-duty road transport.
Insufficient and inadequate charging infrastructure was highlighted as a major barrier towards transitioning to zero-emission trucks, as well as the need for a comprehensive approach that focuses not just on infrastructure but policies and government support to make the transition a reality.
